Beryl: A unique mineral of its own. It takes a fine polish and has a relatively high refractive index, resulting in sparkly performance if cut correctly. Members of the Beryl family include Goeshenite (clear), Morganite (peachy pink), Heliodor (various shades of yellow), Green Beryl (not emerald), Emerald (colored by Chromium), and Bixbite (Also Chromium, has been called red Emerald, and is the most rare). This page does not have any Emeralds. They are listed seperately on their own page.

If you see something you want, just click on the 'add' button to the left of each listing. It will be added to your cart. Most items will be single listings. It will noted when more than one is available; if more than one is wanted of those, just add them one at a time to the cart.

When you are ready, click on the check out button to go to the electronic cashier form. There is more information there about payment options.

Heliodor (yellow Beryl)

Heliodor is a member of the beryl family. It comes in different shades of yellow. From light lemon to a rich golden canary color. It's one of my favorites. Citrine has many different shades as well, but cannot keep up with the high refractive index and luster of the beryls. Heliodor is an excellent replacement choice for yellow sapphire, and it is much less expensive.

Green Beryl

These Heliodors are a bit different. They have varying amounts of green in them. Some with a very slight greenish tinge. Others definitely showing green. The colorant is Vanadium, so they cannot be classified as emerald. Yet, technically, they are still Heliodor.

Aquamarine

Aquamarine is the most commonly known of the Beryls outside of Emerald. Colors range from bluish green to deep blue, though the dark varieties are uncommon. Most Aquas are usually light to medium in color intensity. Color is derived from Iron.

Morganite is another of the Beryl family, and is not often talked about, or even seen. Not because it is extremely rare, though it is rarer than other Beryls. It just has not caught on in the US of A, so is not seen much in the gemstone community here. It derives its name from the famous Banker J.P. Morgan. I don't think he discovered it, but I'm not sure. Color is pink to salmony pink and is caused by Manganese.
