First, because of the search function and other problems listed below, the best way to navigate the catalog is to use the links in the blue link bar at the top of the page. The links at the side of each page also work well. The thumbnail images you see throughout the pages can be confusing. They all link back to the main links somewhere along the way, but I suggest avoiding them as a main means of navigation. A message about that has been sent to the developers.
It is best to use Microsoft's Internet Explorer to browse the catalog. This is because there is a problem with Netscape Navigator when using the search function. The "next" link in the pop-up javascript window returns an error code, and functioning of the window ceases. This is not a problem with Explorer.
More on SEARCH. When search is selected from the top of the page two things happen. A web page opens and a javascript window pops up. The disadvantage is that while the web page has a convenient price range input, it does not have an item input such as "earrings". The Javascript window has the item entry function, but not the price range. Further, the javascript window is too long for a 640x480 standard display. Scrolling downward does not show the "next link. The only solution is to go to the top and drag down the border until the window fits the screen. This has been reported as well.
The javascript search function lists items in a mixture of types, styles, metals and prices that is not uniform in pricing or catagory. There is no way to narrow the search. Same for the webpage search, except that the webpage search lists everything and every type of jewelry that fits the search price parameters. It has been reported.
If you do not use the search function, and just browse using the blue linkbar, you will notice that there is no link back to the index page. That is being worked on I hope. The only way around this is to use the "back" button on the browser to return to where you want. Also reported.
