Spinel is a strange gemstone. Not only are the colors varied and unusual, they also look different under different lighting conditions. Many of them not only appear dusky, they will also show a slight to strong color change between incandescent and daylight conditions. I have tried to get the colors of these pictures as accurate as possible. I will attempt to explain more about each gemstones characteristics below. If you know Spinel you will understand what I'm saying here.

	6.6x5mm Cushion cut. Pic taken under light-box conditions. The purple color is right, but has more of a salmony pink flash and is a bit darker than appears here. Clean inside. 0.9 carats @ $12/ct. $10.80	sp118b
	6.7x4.6mm Oval. Picture is pretty accurate. Strong pink color. There is a bluish cast to the color that is more pronounced in daylight. Clean and a pretty good cut. 0.7 carats @ $12/ct. $8.40	sp118c
	6x6.7mm Trillion. Hard to get this color right. A deep salmon pink. Dusky appearance with good light performance. Clean and a good cut. 0.9 carats @ $12/ct. $10.80	sp118e
	6.2mm Round. Strange duck. Slight color change. Very lively and excellent cut. Clean. Color is pastel pink with a touch of lavender. Lavender color more pronounced under daylight conditions. 0.95 carats @ $14/ct. $13.30	sp118f
	8.2x6.7mm Oval. Very Purple Spinel. Color is pretty acturate. Reminds me of fine Amethyst, but it is Spinel. Very clean. Taken under direct light. More sparkle than the picture shows. 1.45 carats @ $14/ct. $20.30	sp118g
